^ This is the beginning of the family prayer my kids say at dinner. It later says: I come from a lineage of courageous people.
I’ve decided that one of my parental imperatives is to connect them to their family’s lineage -- our kin, ideas, (mis)adventures. In a world gone overly global, this seems to be the most grounding thing I can do for them.
As such, this site documents my lineage (ideas, ancestors, projects, failings).
